Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 15, 2026. Quizzable is run by Dominykas Remeika, trading as Quizzable (“we”). This policy explains what we collect when you use Quizzable, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Later sections add the rights that California, other US states, and the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland give you.
The short version: the quizzes need no account, we never ask for your name or email address, your answers stay in your browser, and advertising pays for the site. Advertising partners may use cookies to show you ads based on your activity elsewhere, and you can say no to that on the privacy choices page.
What we collect
Information you give us
None, unless you email us. We use what you send to answer you and keep the email for as long as the conversation needs.
Information stored in your browser
- Your quiz progress and scores, kept in local storage until you restart that quiz or clear the site’s data.
- A random Player identifier that lasts up to one year, and a random Session identifier that ends after thirty minutes without a page load. Neither contains anything about you, and neither is matched with other websites.
- Your privacy choices: whether you opted out of the sale or sharing of your information, and, where a consent prompt applies, what you chose. The consent tool keeps its record for up to thirteen months.
Information sent to our servers
When you load a quiz page, your browser sends us the Player and Session identifiers, which quiz pages you loaded, whether you finished a quiz and your score, which advertisements were requested, shown, viewed or tapped, the campaign identifiers in the link that brought you here, the hostname of the site that referred you, and a broad browser category such as “Facebook in-app browser”. We do not record your IP address, your full browser identifier, the page you came from, or your individual answers. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs, which include IP addresses, to run and secure the service.
Information our advertising partners collect
Advertising on Quizzable is served by Google AdSense. When ads load, Google and the advertising partners it works with may use cookies, device identifiers, your IP address, your approximate location and your activity on this and other sites to select, deliver and measure ads. Google decides how that data is used. Its explanation is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can adjust Google’s own ad settings at adssettings.google.com. Where the law requires consent, none of this happens until you accept in the consent prompt.
Meta advertising measurement
We buy advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Where you have allowed it, the Meta pixel records that you arrived and, when you reach a certain point in a quiz, our server sends Meta a matching event with a random event identifier so Meta counts it once. For that server event we pass on your IP address, your browser identifier and the click identifier Meta adds to its links, at the moment of the request, and we do not store them. Meta uses them to match the event to its ad. Meta explains its use of data at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Why we use it
- To run the quizzes and remember your progress.
- To learn which quizzes and which of our advertisements pay for the site, so we can keep it free.
- To show advertising, personalized only where you have allowed it.
- To keep the site secure and to detect invalid ad traffic.
- To answer your emails and to meet our legal obligations.
Cookies, storage and the consent prompt
We set no advertising cookies ourselves. The site uses browser local storage for progress, identifiers and your choices, as listed above. The site’s operator uses one access cookie to open an internal report; it is never set for visitors. Google’s consent tool stores your consent choice in cookies on this site. Google’s advertising cookies, such as those on doubleclick.net and googlesyndication.com, and Meta’s pixel cookies, such as _fbp and _fbc, are set by those companies when their scripts run.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent prompt appears before any advertising script loads. It is provided by Google’s certified consent management platform and follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework version 2.2. You can accept, reject, or choose purposes one by one, and the prompt lists every partner and what each one asks for. Your choice is recorded as a TC String and passed to partners registered with the framework, who must respect it. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from privacy choices, linked in the footer of every page.
Who we share it with
- Google, for advertising and advertising measurement, as described above.
- Meta, for measuring the advertisements we buy, where allowed.
- Service providers that run the site for us: our hosting provider and our database provider. They process data on our instructions only.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, and a buyer if the site changes hands, under the same policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money and we do not give it to data brokers. Allowing advertising partners to use cookies for advertising based on your activity across sites counts as “sharing” under California law, and as a “sale” under some state laws. You can opt out of both on the privacy choices page.
How long we keep it
Browser storage lasts as described above and is under your control. We keep measurement records, which contain only random identifiers and page and ad activity, for twenty-four months so that we can compare a period with the one a year before, and then delete them or reduce them to totals. Emails are kept for as long as the conversation needs.
Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of its sale or sharing or of targeted advertising, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We hold no name, email address or account for you, so we usually cannot connect a request to the records your browser produced. If your request concerns those records, tell us the browser and device you use and we will explain what we can do; clearing this site’s data in your browser removes your identifiers and starts fresh.
To make a request, email privacy@quizzable.app with the subject line “Privacy request”. We answer within forty-five days, and tell you if we need up to forty-five more. An authorized agent may act for you with your written permission. If we refuse a request, we say why, and you may appeal by replying to our answer; we decide appeals within forty-five days and tell you how to contact your state’s attorney general or privacy regulator if you disagree. We operate only online, so email is our request channel.
California residents
This section is our notice at collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. In the past twelve months we and our partners have collected these categories of personal information, for the purposes listed under “Why we use it” and for the retention periods above:
- Identifiers: our random Player and Session identifiers, and cookie and device identifiers and IP addresses handled by advertising partners. Source: your browser. Shared with: advertising partners.
- Internet or other electronic network activity: the quiz pages you load, the advertisements you see or tap, and the site that referred you. Source: your browser. Shared with: advertising partners, for the ads themselves.
- Geolocation data: an approximate location inferred from an IP address by advertising partners. We do not receive it. Shared with: advertising partners.
- Inferences: interest categories advertising partners may draw for ad selection. We do not receive them.
We collect no sensitive personal information, no financial or commercial information, and no information from anyone we know to be under sixteen. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers under sixteen. You have the right to know, to delete, to correct, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to non-discrimination. The Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link, in the footer of every page, opens the page where you opt out. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser that sends it. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing, so there is nothing to report under California’s Shine the Light law.
Residents of other US states
If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island, you have rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of your personal data, to opt out of targeted advertising and of the sale of personal data, and to appeal our decision. We process no sensitive data and make no decisions about you that produce legal effects. The privacy choices page is the opt-out for targeted advertising and sale, and we honor browser opt-out preference signals recognized by your state. The section above explains how to make a request and how appeals work.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
Dominykas Remeika, trading as Quizzable is the controller of the processing this policy describes, except for the advertising processing that Google and Meta control. Our legal bases are: performance of the service you asked for, for running the quiz and remembering progress; our legitimate interest in understanding and funding the site, for first-party measurement with random identifiers; your consent, for advertising cookies, personalized advertising and the Meta pixel; and legal obligation, where we must keep or disclose data. You may withdraw consent at any time from privacy choices, without affecting what happened before.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority. Advertising partners and our service providers may process data in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions where the recipient is certified, and on standard contractual clauses otherwise. Retention periods are listed above.
Children
Quizzable is written for adults and is not directed to children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the site in a way that gave us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only, keeps no accounts and no passwords, and stores as little as it can. Access to our internal report requires a secret held by the operator.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the effective date at the top. If a change reduces your rights or adds a new use of data, we say so on this page for at least thirty days.
